Bio
Ty Agosta has been active in his church since he was eleven years old, when he became the church organist. He continued this ministry for twenty three years at the Church of the Assumption in Wood- Ridge, NJ where he is a life-long parishioner.
At the age of twelve, he joined the liturgy committee and remained a member for twenty years. His involvement in the church included becoming a parish council representative for both the youth and adult councils.
Ty is a lector in his parish for over thirty-six years and was a catechist teacher for eleven. Later, he co-founded the youth ministry in his parish.
He attended Saint Peters College in Jersey City for Business Administration and went on to Felician College, where he received a degree in Religious Studies. He is currently obtaining a masters degree in biblical studies from the Augustine Institute in Denver.
He was also the founder and former host of New Jersey and New York’s Catholic radio talk show, as well as founding the ‘Spread the Word Foundation’- dedicated to sharing, explaining and defending the Catholic faith.
Ty also helps sponsor Catholic conferences in New Jersey and is known as a dynamic Catholic speaker, giving talks to many parishes and various church groups, especially in the New Jersey, New York area.
